The Waterloo Minor Soccer club had grown to a point where its operating model was no longer effective. The club came to realize that it needed to look at how it was to operate in the future, what roles were best suited for full-time staff and what roles should be filled by volunteers. The Kirwin Group led us through a review of our organization by gathering information from a range of our stakeholders and comparing it to the operations of other organizations. The Kirwin Group’s professional approach to the gathering and distilling of information allowed the identification of key themes for the club to consider. The proposed organizational structure and accompanying job descriptions for the proposed roles clearly delineated the areas of responsibility and is expected to allow the club to address key issues its members want addressed. Engaging the Kirwin Group in this process has shortened the delivery timelines by months and provided the club with some of the most valuable information it can use in defining its organization for the years to come.
